Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first tryout she came third in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003 and signed with Adidas an agreement as a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. A year later Felix earned the first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making a junior world record by taking 200 metres at 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
