Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix discovered early that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she was accepted into the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting a new junior world record. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her races.
